Academic Policy
- North Carolina Wesleyan University offers three semesters annually for its Day 1 CPT Programs: Fall, Spring, and Summer.
- International students are required to enroll in a minimum of two courses per semester, totaling 7 credits, which includes one online, one hybrid course, and a 1-credit internship course.
CPT Policy

CPT Application: To apply for CPT, the employer's signature is required on the CPT Agreement, which must be submitted before the CPT application deadline.

For each semester, a signature from the employer on the evaluation form is necessary to renew CPT.

If the current employer does not sign the CPT Agreement, an Employment Verification Letter can be used as an alternative (consult your advisor for this).

The university recommends applying for CPT two weeks before the semester begins.

Maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is essential for students. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your CPT.

North Carolina Wesleyan University's courses use a hybrid model that includes one online course and one onsite course.

For F-1 students, onsite course attendance is mandatory; failure to attend may result in termination of F-1 student status.

*All the students are required to take the CPT course every semester.
The Master of Business Administration is designed for students seeking to develop their knowledge and broaden their skills in management and leadership in order to become more effective managers. The curriculum is designed to enhance students’ ability to develop and implement organizational strategies that deliver business results. The program offers a broad range of management tools to advance business operations. Courses in the program build skills in critical areas such as decision-making, conflict resolution, ethics, and management strategies. Students will also gain increased knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of operating in a global business environment.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) requires the completion of 35 semester hours of credit.

The Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) program at North Carolina Wesleyan University (NCWU) includes core leadership and business admin courses with a broad focus on all aspects of leadership and applies to a number of positions in business, industry, education, and non-profits. A heavy focus on information systems policy, security and risk, as a method to improve organizational effectiveness. The MSITM program is comprised of 32 graduate-level credit hours.
The MSITM program will require students to complete a research project that integrates the technical and scientific knowledge they have gained throughout the program.

This major will equip graduate students with leadership knowledge and skills to integrate a broad range of leadership practices into business and industry. The program is designed to expose students to a variety of leadership practices and theories and to prepare them for their current or future leadership roles. The program will help prepare individuals to lead dynamic organizations through complex problems while providing the knowledge and skills necessary to develop the people and the process long-term. MSSL will focus on leadership concepts with additional emphasis on strategic thinking and organizational strategies.

- Certificate of Financial Responsibility with accompanying bank statement and/or declaration of support showing an amount of at least $20,000. (Documents must be in English and US currency.)
