|Payment Plans

Payment plans are available. Students must set up a payment plan by the Friday before the term starts. There is a $65 service fee to set up a payment plan each term. New England College – MyCollegePaymentPlan. The payment plan is monthly. Students can log in and pay more frequently if they want to pay weekly or biweekly, but the automatic installment will be scheduled monthly.

5. Hybrid Formats for International Students at New England College

|Onsite Policy:

New England College requires international student attend onsite residency class once per term.

Students are required to attend one onsite weekend per term, typically during the fourth week of the semester. The schedule is Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday from 8am to 6pm, and Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

|Vacation Policy:

International students at New England College can take 1 term off after 3 consecutive terms.

  • You may take a term off after a full year of studies at NEC (3 terms) if you want to remain in F-1 status and remain in the US. If you are willing to leave the US and temporarily lose F-1 status, you may take a term of Authorized Early Withdrawal (AEW) at any time. You will have 15 days to leave the US once AEW is authorized by your DSO. When you are ready to return to study you will work with your NEC DSO to reactivate your SEVIS record to Active.
  • Students cannot apply for CPT work authorization during the vacation period.

 

6. CPT Policies

New England College adheres to USCIS regulations to authorize CPT for international students.

Eligibility for CPT from Program Start

✅ Current OPT and F1 students may obtain CPT Authorization from Day 1 of the program.

✅ Oversea applicants may obtain CPT Authorization from Day 1 of the program.

✅ Change of Status (to F1 Status) applicants may obtain CPT Authorization from Day 1 of the program.

| CPT Details

CPT authorization needs to be renewed every term.

CPT is required for graduation.

Must have US masters or 3 years of US work experience. CPT is authorized by term. Once you start your program, gaps between terms will be covered by your CPT extension process which your NEC DSO will assist with. There should be no gap once you start your program if you do the CPT extension process before the end of every term. Your NEC DSO sends reminders and the process for the CPT extension each term.
