GoElite is proud to have participated as a first-time exhibitor at the 2025 NAFSA Annual Conference in San Diego, held over two and a half days of networking, learning, and industry engagement. Our team of nine, including members from marketing, consulting, and business development, participated in the conference with the goals of expanding our subagent network, strengthening relationships with current partners, and exploring new collaboration opportunities with higher education institutions.

Throughout the event, we connected with more than 30+ school representatives and 20+ agents from across the U.S. and globally. These face-to-face interactions deepened our understanding of institutional needs and emerging trends while positioning GoElite as a growing voice in the international education space.

Implications for Strategic Partnerships

In a climate where many institutions are experiencing—or bracing for—reductions in federal funding for the domestic student segment, the financial impact of international student recruitment has become more critical than ever. At GoElite, we remain committed to supporting our partners in driving both enrollment and revenue growth, standing together through challenging times.

Policy Updates & Practice Improvements

New insights gained from CBP and policymaking sessions equip us to better support both students and partner institutions. We now have an updated understanding of customs enforcement, visa documentation expectations, and port-of-entry practices—critical information for guiding students through a compliant and successful transition into U.S. academic life.

Looking Ahead

Despite concerns about a possible decline in the number of international students coming to the U.S., we believe this is part of a historical cycle. The underlying market dynamics remain stable: institutions need students, and students need legal pathways to remain in the U.S. Our long-term strategy remains focused on adaptability, regulatory awareness, and forming resilient partnerships through at least 2029.

Temporary disruptions will not deter us. We remain committed to delivering value to our partners, supporting student success, and growing responsibly in an evolving international education landscape.
