5. Hybrid Formats for International Students at California Institute Of Advanced Management

|Onsite Policy:

California Institute Of Advanced Management requires international student attend onsite residency class bi-monthly.

You will be required to attend the school twice per term (4 months), the first 2 times will be on the same weekend Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-4pm, and the other time will be near the end of the term on the Saturday 9am-5pm, with the rest of the classes being online.

|Vacation Policy:

International students at California Institute Of Advanced Management can take term breaks.

  • After completing three semesters, students may take a one‑semester leave of absence and remain eligible to apply for CPT during that time.
  • Students can apply for CPT work authorization during the vacation period.

Eligibility for CPT from Program Start

When applying for CPT authorization, students should enroll in a CPT course (INT501 or INT599).

  • The First INT501 & the First INT599 fees: No fee ($0).
  • Additional INT599 Fee: $500/per term

students must submit the following documents:

  1. CIAM CPT/Internship Application Form along with student's signature
  2. Offer Letter on the employer's official letterhead with company address
    • The date on the offer letter must be within 30 days of the student’s CPT application submission
    • The letter must include:

      • Student’s full name

      • Employer’s name and address

      • Student’s job title and detailed job description

      • Internship hours per week:

        1)Part-time: 20 hours or less per week

        2)Full-time: more than 20 hours per week

      • Internship start and end dates

         

  • All information must be clear and complete to avoid delays in processing the application.
