NEC New England College's Executive Programs typically span three 15-week terms per year. Students usually complete the program in 5 or 6 semesters.

At New England College, an academic year consists of two 4-month semesters: Spring and Fall. There is a 1-month term between the two semesters.
- Applicants Requirements:
- Must have a Master's earned from the US.
- Or, More than 3 years of working experience in the US.
CPT Policy
NEC New England College offers a Low Residency option for students in the Executive Program. The college requires students to engage in internships or work from the first semester, applying their learned knowledge in practical settings while completing both online and offline courses. Consequently, international students are eligible for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) from the first day of the program. Students using Full-time CPT must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- CPT Application:
- Complete this Employment Agreement Form including required signatures (yours and your supervisors) along with a scan of your Job Offer Letter; send the forms to EAF@nec.edu for an academic approval signature from our Career and Life Planning Office.
- After the approved EAF is returned to you, email it directly to your DSO/International Student Advisor.
Your DSO will process your request and send you an I-20 documenting your term registration and CPT authorization. - Be sure to retain this signed EAF for your personal records which you may need in the future.
- Complete this Employment Agreement Form including required signatures (yours and your supervisors) along with a scan of your Job Offer Letter; send the forms to EAF@nec.edu for an academic approval signature from our Career and Life Planning Office.

CPT requires renewal every semester. There is no gap between CPT authorizations.
Onsite Policy

Students are required to attend a three-day onsite course each semester (over the weekend). Failure to attend may result in the termination of F1 student status. The on-campus sessions occur once per semester, which is equal to three times a year.

The sessions are typically scheduled in the fourth week of the semester, from Friday to Sunday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Vacation Policy
- Students have the option to take a break for one semester off after finishing three consecutive semesters.
- During this break, they are NOT eligible to engage in full-time CPT employment.

The Executive MS in Health Informatics equips students with the skills to improve healthcare efficiency through data. Designed for professionals, this hybrid program spans database design, compliance, and machine learning applications, preparing students for the healthcare and IT sectors. - IT and PM & MBA: 2-year (6 terms) Total 40 credits, 6 more credits per term, including two 3-credit courses (15 weeks) and a 7-credit practicum course, with 1 to 4 practicum credits assigned each term. Only one job is approved when they enroll in the program, but the student needs special permission from their Program Director for a second one.

Yes, after 3 consecutive semesters, the student can choose to take a break for a semester, but you cannot use CPT during the semester.
