Job duties:

The employer provides consulting services to foreign students interested in pursuing post-secondary education in the United States. In order to do this, it must keep abreast of all the latest developments in U.S. educational policy and forecast possible changes in these policies so that it can advise its clients accordingly.

The proffered position will support this function by monitoring changes in U.S. educational policy that could impact the employer's clients such as changes in requirements relating to in-state tuition and federal rules relating to F-1 status and Optional Practical Training for foreign students by closely following current events, policy decisions, and other related developments.

When new policy is promulgated, the holder of the proffered position will prepare reports on how the policy changes could impact the employer's clients for presentation to management. The holder of the proffered position will also forecast potential changes in U.S. educational policy by analyzing and interpreting data such as election results and public opinion surveys. The holder of the proffered position will prepare reports forecasting future educational policy changes and how the company can be proactive in ensuring its clients can achieve their educational goals in a dynamic policy environment for presentation to management.
