FY-2025 H-1B Has Officially Completed!
First off, congratulations to everyone who made it this year! It's time for your lawyer to officially file the H1B application, which needs to be completed within 90 days.
I just received an email from USCIS announcing the end of this year's H1B lottery. As stated in USCIS's tweet on March 28th, there were no extensions or early closures.
This year was particularly unique for the H1B lottery, transitioning from the previous "multiple entries per person" to a more fair "one entry per person." According to some law firms we collaborate with, this year's selection rate is estimated to be 25%-30%, posing a challenge particularly for those nearing the end of their STEM OPT or without STEM OPT.
For those who didn't get selected, don't be disheartened. There's still a chance for a second round H1B lottery, so keep an eye out for further updates from USCIS.
As a precaution, we've prepared a guide for all those who weren't selected, covering "What to do if you don't win the H1B lottery, applying for an O1 visa, L1 visa, and Day-1 CPT schools." Feel free to bookmark and read this identity guide.
