The Automata part of this course is so hard. Algorithms part is better. Workload is heavy, lots of assignments weekly. Online midterm, closed-book in-person final.

Professor is very unique. Chill class, low workload. Midterm is in person, one handwritten cheatsheet allowed. You only have to submit some slides for final.

Course is ok, lots of overlapping with Automata course. Workload is a lot, every week you have to summarize chapters from the book + additional assignments from book. Midterm is online, but final is in-person, closed book. Prof is good at teaching, but strict. He marks you late and deduct points. He also cold calls in class and picks on you if you seem to be doing something else on laptop or phone

The course content is actually interesting. The book is easy to understand and read through. Every week will have an assignment that only worth 4 points, so the final project (which worth 50 points) actually matters much more. The final project is stupid tho. You have to write a 15-page report on some fictional dinosaur company, and the data set provided is so trolled. Prof will give credits where it is due tho so no worries. Nice prof as well, not strict.
