Even though the topic is not the most exciting, i still enjoyed the class mainly because the professor found great ways on how to teach the class and explain the material.

This was a harder course for me because I'm very new to Python, so I was struggling for a moment there. However, with the help of classmates and my professor, I got back on track and started to understand the material. Overall, I had a great experience with this class and professor.

The professor was knowledgeable and explained accounting concepts in a clear and practical way. The course material was relevant and helped me better understand how accounting applies to business and leadership decisions. I also appreciated the examples and discussions that connected the concepts to real-world situations.

This course was pretty difficult for me and I needed a couple of weeks to adjust to it. The course itself is great and the professor teaches it well but sometimes it was hard for me to understand the terms because of the language barrier

To be honest, this course is pretty basic since it covers the foundations that most of us already learned earlier, but it is a good refresher, and the professor is really nice!

Professor Jimmy Harter’s data visualization course is packed with useful content. AI5415 covers the entire workflow from data processing and analysis to the final visual presentation. The professor’s expertise is solid, and his lectures are well-structured and clear. However, a quick heads-up: the homework and projects can be quite challenging. You will need to dedicate a significant amount of time outside of class to write code and debug chart details. Professor Harter has relatively strict grading criteria and places a heavy emphasis on the accuracy and logical flow of the data presentation. Overall, it is a great class where you learn practical, hands-on skills, but make sure to manage your time well during the semester you take it.

AI5115 is a project-driven course that pushes students to build an AI application entirely from scratch. Professor Viazanko guides the class through a structured process—starting with defining the problem background, identifying AI opportunities, and surveying current preprocessing techniques and technologies—before gradually layering core AI concepts onto your own creative idea. This bottom-up approach really deepens your understanding of how each component fits into a complete solution. That said, I would strongly advise choosing a well-scoped, manageable topic early on. The project tends to snowball quickly, and if your initial idea is too broad or ambiguous, you'll find yourself fighting an uphill battle in later stages. The professor is quite rigorous in his expectations—he demands solid reasoning, clean execution, and clear justification for every design choice. It's not an easy course, but if you plan carefully and stay on top of your project, it's an incredibly rewarding experience that genuinely builds practical AI competence.
