As one of the students in the Advanced Analytics track this past semester, I can confidently say that Professor Ashish Desai's coaching and mentorship made a huge difference in my learning path. The way he connected complex Analytics, Data science, and AI/ML techniques to real-world business and data challenges helped me not only understand the subject but also see how to apply it in my own career path. I especially appreciated how he encouraged us to think beyond the classroom and guided us through our projects step by step. It’s rare to find a mentor who is equally passionate about both the technology and the student’s growth. Thank you professor for investing your weekends to help us grow — it truly mattered!

He is one of the rare professors who genuinely cares about student success. He not only kept us on track with deadlines but also showed up with empathy during tough times — whether by allowing late submissions when someone was sick or taking extra time after class to cover complex topics if we joined late due to transportation issues. That kind of support made a huge difference in our learning journey, keeping us consistently motivated and engaged. He is one of the rare professors who genuinely cares about student success. Professor Desai is an outstanding instructor who clearly demonstrates deep expertise in the subject matter. What sets him apart is not just their knowledge, but their genuine commitment to student learning. They go above and beyond whether it’s staying after class to answer questions, offering detailed feedback, or providing additional resources to help students succeed. Their passion for teaching is evident in every lecture, and they create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to engage, ask questions, and grow. If you’re looking for a professor who is both intellectually rigorous and incredibly supportive, I highly recommend taking a course with Professor Desai.

This class is overloaded with repetitive brain numbing assignments. The assignments in this class are like a full-time job. There is absolutely nothing that I learnt in this course even though the Professor rambled on for several hours, often with little to no useful feedback. Avoid at all costs.

Workload is very heavy, with a lot of papers and group projects every single class. Professor talks a lot but to be honest it's not all that helpful for the actual course content. Heard the course layout is going to change though so not sure if the workload is going to stay the same.

Easy class, you need to submit a written reflection every week but it's not too much work and I think she just gives 100 if you do what you need to do.

This course is compulsory, if you wish to obtain your CPT grade. You will answer some (stupid) questions every week to receive your scores, like how do you think about DEI. But you have to do it.
