Jamie Norton is the worst professor I have studied under. She explicitly mentions about not using AI for assignments. But she uses AI to grade the assignments and papers. The AI grader is not efficient and grades poorly. Her provided feedback mentions that you have missed few topics in your answer, when those topics are already covered and mentioned in the answer. When you email the professor regarding this, she mentions that the grades are final and will not be changed. The professor has no empathy and all the students get marks less than what they deserve. The course might be easy, but this professor makes the course difficult. I just hope you guys dont ignore my review. I had previously seen negative reviews regarding her. However, my academic advisor randomly assigned me to this professor when I asked him to register me under another passionate and empathic professor (as per reviews). I would like to mention that academic advisors are there to help professors and not students. They are forcingly assigning you to professors randomly. So some students get unlucky with professors like Jamie. If you have been enrolled in a course with Jamie Norton, get yourself dropped from that course before the deadline of withdrawal, tell your advisor you would take this mandatory course in another semester when the empathic professors class seats are available and not with Jamie. That way, you can have a peaceful life, rather than having stress, and panic attacks under Jamie N.

Although this is an online course, the professor sends out learning instructions every Monday and provides detailed feedback on all my assignments. These tips have been very helpful for my subsequent work. Additionally, the professor grades very fairly.

It's in general an easy class. Just read the slides to understand some organization related concepts and write papers about it. Professor is easy on the grade.

The course is interesting in nature. A lot of assignments are about how AI impact industry. The final case study is about an insurance company. The professor is strict about AI use in assignments. The trick to exams is to find them in your text book.

It's more of a self-discovery class. You'll do an MBTI test and career value assessment at the end of the class and do a presentation about it. The professor requires cameras on for this class. The difficulty of the class lies in the understanding of some philosophers. All else is easy to understand and not that exciting.

The workload is generally on average - there are 2 papers, 2 discussions, 1 oral presentation and an EE case study where you need to write a paper and do a presentation. But the final is basically a combination of all previous EE assignments. So it's pretty easy and straightforward. As long as you follow the rating criteria, you'll get a good grade.

Despite being conducted online, this class has been highly effective and engaging. The professor's responses and instruction are insightful, delivering a wealth of knowledge that significantly enhances understanding of the subject matter. The feedback provided is consistently constructive, encouraging deeper critical thinking and pushing me to explore concepts more thoroughly. This approach has made the learning experience both challenging and rewarding.

The workload of the class is heavy: 2 discussions (require reference and sometimes ask for 600 words), 2 papers, 1 oral presentation, in addition to a demanding case study which requires another paper and presentation. The professor is strict about grade and AI detection. But you get a chance to revise your paper if AI rate is too high. The textbook of the class is obsolete.
