As part of our continued strategic expansion, GoElite is launching a dedicated Veteran Recruitment (VA) initiative aimed at better serving student veterans and military-connected communities.
The higher education landscape continues to evolve, and veteran students represent a highly motivated, mission-driven population seeking strong academic and professional outcomes. By building a structured VA recruitment channel, we aim to provide institutions with a compliant, well-supported pathway to engage veteran applicants while ensuring a smooth transition into academic programs.
A key driver behind this initiative is the addition of our new Business Development Manager, Charles Chou, whose background uniquely positions him to lead this effort.
Charles most recently supported student veterans at Pasadena City College’s Veteran Affairs office, where he assisted veterans in navigating VA education and housing benefits. His direct experience working with military-affiliated students provides critical insight into the administrative processes, documentation requirements, and support systems necessary to serve this population effectively. In addition, he coordinated outreach initiatives and promoted campus resources, helping increase awareness and engagement within the veteran community.
Prior to his work in higher education, Charles demonstrated strong operational and leadership capabilities in high-responsibility environments. As a Team Leader with the CPI Foundation on Alcatraz Island, he led on-site teams in historic restoration projects, ensured safety compliance, and collaborated with the National Park Service. He also led and trained more than 50 Marines in daily mission execution and supervised security operations during nuclear refueling operations at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Newport News Shipyard. These experiences reflect disciplined execution, leadership under pressure, and strict adherence to compliance protocols — qualities that are essential in veteran-focused recruitment.
With Charles leading the VA initiative, we are establishing a structured approach to veteran enrollment outreach, compliance awareness, and institutional coordination. Our goal is not simply to recruit veteran students, but to build a sustainable and well-managed recruitment channel that aligns with both regulatory standards and institutional objectives.
This launch also marks the beginning of broader team expansion. By the end of the year, we plan to onboard 10 additional Business Development Managers, strengthening our capacity across multiple recruitment verticals. This investment reflects our confidence in long-term market growth and our commitment to supporting partner institutions with specialized, focused recruitment strategies.
The Veteran Recruitment initiative represents more than a new project. It is a strategic step toward diversifying enrollment channels, expanding community engagement, and reinforcing our role as a proactive and adaptive recruitment partner.
We look forward to collaborating with our university partners to build a strong, compliant, and impactful veteran enrollment pathway in the year ahead.
