S4 Blog: Add Your Consultant in the School Portal: Why It Matters and How to Do It

If you applied directly to a university instead of through a consultant's link, the school may not know who is supporting you. Adding your consultant in the school's portal fixes that.

Log in to your application, find the section for resources or education consultants, and add your consultant's company name exactly as your consultant's guide shows it. Then send your consultant a screenshot. Every school uses its own portal, menus and wording. Follow your school's current instructions and the guide for your school, not a generic one.

Why it matters
  • The school can link your file to your consultant, who can then check status and ask the school about delays.
  • Under GoElite's program, being listed is also how enrollment rewards and any application-fee reimbursement are tracked. These are GoElite policies, not school or immigration requirements, and the exact terms must be confirmed in writing (see our GoElite Rewards guide).
  • It does not change your tuition, your application review or your decision.

Application email vs. portal account
 These are different things.

Application email Portal account
What it is The address you typed when applying Your login to the school's application or student system
Why it matters Schools often match students by this address Where you add your consultant and track documents
Common problem A different email from the one your consultant has Several portals (application vs. international-student system)

If you applied with a different email, tell your consultant which one you used, and keep checking that inbox. The school's enrollment emails go there.

Step-by-step
  1. Open your consultant's guide for your school.
  2. Log in to the school's application portal (not only the student or international portal).
  3. Open your application.
  4. Look for "Resources," "Education Consultants" or a similar section. It usually sits inside the application, not on the portal home page.
  5. Add the company name exactly as written in the guide. Submit.
  6. Take a screenshot of the confirmation and reply to your consultant's email.

If you cannot find the option
Open the application itself, compare your screen with the guide, and send a screenshot of what you see. Your consultant can ask the school to add the link on its side.

Application-fee reimbursement
GoElite has said that if you applied directly to a partner school, paid the application fee and then enrolled and listed GoElite as consultant, the fee can be reimbursed. Keep your payment receipt. Terms to confirm before publishing: eligible schools, timing and whether being listed is required.

Next steps
Ask your consultant for the school-specific guide, complete the steps, and send screenshot.
