S3 Q&A: The school says my English score is below its minimum (or my test has expired) - what now?

Usually it means a retake or a waiver on other grounds, because each school sets its own minimum score and most follow the test's two-year validity. Tell me your school and I'll give you its minimum for your test; if you studied or worked in the US or have an English-taught degree, ask admissions whether a waiver applies before you book. Don't resend the same score hoping for an exception - ask admissions in writing first.
