S2 Q&A: My OPT ends soon but the next start is months away - is a later start allowed?

There's a federal limit here: after a transfer you must start at the new school within 5 months of your SEVIS release date (or your OPT end date, whichever is earlier), and the release itself must happen inside your 60-day grace period. So a start a few months out can work if the dates line up - I'll map them, and the senior consultant confirms anything within a couple of weeks of a limit.
