How long is the grace period after OPT ends?

60 days after your OPT end date. You can stay in the US and complete a school transfer during it - but you cannot work. As long as your SEVIS lands at the new school before day 60, you stay continuously legal. Just don't plan to use the whole window; the edges are where people get hurt.
